A 2018 vlog showing how to use the windshield wipers on a Tesla Model 3, including auto mode, manual settings and voice commands. It is labeled outdated.
Used in UI debates as evidence that wiper control on the touchscreen is awkward, or alternatively that it is just two touches.

Well I did say one method, I'm allowed to criticise that method even if there's another one, they included it so they've got to assume people will use it. [VIDEO] it's not precisely a slide, but it's buttons placed in a sequence with a sliding animation.
which are on the touch screen because of course they are I've never driven one, but a bit of research indicates that it has a right control stalk but Tesla didn't make it control the wipers. Instead, the button on the left stalk will wipe once . The fact that videos like this exist shows just how horrible the UI is: [VIDEO] I'm surprised Tesla could do this, because there are laws that dictate things like what the steering wheel should do, and the order of the pedals and transmission shift pattern (perhaps not so applicable to an EV.)
The Model 3 has a very easy to use touchscreen interface for the wipers, it's hard to imagine someone missing it or being distracted for more than 1 second while using it. Apart from that, it also has this feature that makes using the touchscreen for the wipers while driving completely unnecessary (when they're on "automatic"): [VIDEO] Finally, there's also voice controls: "Wipers increase" and you're done. It's not magic, the horrible thing we still have is courts with clueless/uninterested judges.
The UI on that touchscreen is very different from the average car touchscreen. Bigger and ridiculously more responsive. The wipers are accessible in two quick touches: [VIDEO] I’m pretty sure you can operate it with voice commands as well, and the click wheel in the 3? That said, why would you not leave it on auto? I own a normal car and don’t touch the dashboard at all during 98% of drives, everything is set to auto (wipers, lights, AC).
