A short clip from HBO's Silicon Valley in which Gavin Belson fires the Nucleus team.
Posted as a joke in layoff threads, since the show already satirized exactly this kind of corporate layoff scenario.

Silicon Valley (the satire TV show) already covered this exact scenario. Mike Judge is a brilliant writer. [VIDEO]
The moment I saw it, it reminded me the Gavin Belson speech[0] from Silicon Valley about firing a team in his company. Life imitates art I guess. [0] [VIDEO]
Typical Gavin Belson move: [VIDEO] Of course it has been done for millennia. How does a CEO with enough class B shares to control shareholder voting take accountability? Self flagellation perhaps?
A CEO taking responsibility for firing people always reminds me of Gavin Belson's speech: [VIDEO] Did ever a journalist tried to ask how they took responsibility? Did they faced difficulties in their lives or careers or did they couldn't concentrate on Succession's finale and had to rewind? Maybe taking responsibility actually means they did something very positive for the company within the rules of the game and expect a bonus? Are they referring to the events as a mistake they made or are they saying that they were able to grab the talent pool and didn't miss the opportunity? After all, CEOs and workers have different responsibilities. Hiring and firing for the opportunity and change in conditions is CEOs job and maybe he takes responsibility for properly executing it?
Whenever I see CEO taking "full responsibility" and staying put I am reminded of Gavin: [VIDEO] Full responsibility that does not involve massive shakeup at the top is not full responsibility.
"Make no mistake, though they are the ones leaving, it is I who must remain, and bear the heavy burden of their failure." [VIDEO]
