Goes way beyond that... On the NSA/spying... The (mass surveillance) by the NSA and abuse by law enforcement is just more part and parcel of state suppression of dissent against corporate interests. They're worried that the more people are going to wake up and corporate centers like the US and canada may be among those who also awaken. See this vid with Zbigniew Brzezinski, former United States National Security Advisor. [VIDEO] Brezinski at a press conference [LINK]
It seems insane to me that we could allow private corporations to buy and sell data that our government would require a warrant or court order to obtain. You're not seeing what is going on behind the scenes... they are all in cahoots the money is just a bonus. You're not seeing what's going down behind the scenes - the spying is for us. "Anyway, his theory on capital accumulation is based on a completely flawed framework, and completely useless for understand what's happening today." Sorry but you've never read marx if you're saying that. Also check what a former national security advisor has to say on the matter. "capitalistic accumulation itself... constantly produces, and produces in the direct ratio of its own energy and extent, a relatively redundant population of workers" On the spying... >I don’t say I disagree, really, but you really ought to dial down the nutty-rant factor just a tad. Nothing nutty about it, you just don't know what is going on in the world and what all the spying is about. [LINK] In his 1970 book Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era, Brzezinski wrote the following. "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities." "That being the case, these elected officials must know that this won't solve the problem. Except your not understanding why this is happening. You and most americans really are out of the loop about what is going on in the world... right now world leaders fear political awakening of the masses of the planet. >Personally I have a strong anxiety about being survived. Our brains are much worse at reality and thinking than thought. You should, the elite are locking down the planet and most people are too stupid and uninformed. Most won't believe it because it goes against belief in corporate ideology. >There is a lot of evidence that we should be very afraid of the state if you look at Verfassungsschutz activities. It goes way beyond that, all elites of all nations are afraid of their publics and are basically already implementing soft versions of martial law behind the scenes. The media being complicit. You should, the elite are locking down the planet and most people are too stupid and uninformed. Most won't believe it because it goes against belief in corporate ideology. " is that as IoT devices become more and more ubiquitous, I'll probably still end up with some kind of quasi-surveillance garbage in my house." This is the natural result of free market capitalism and private property, property owners (corporations) want to protect it and their profits from the plebians. So they buy the governments and strip plebians of their rights. Our brains are much worse at reality and thinking than thought. "But I'd much rather have this than every other social system, where the sociopaths fuck over the common people unchecked." You already live in that society, you're just unaware of it. Sorry to tell ya but it's all to protect corporations should the people stop believing free market fairy tales and figure out the upper class is their true enemy. Here's a speech from national security advisory of the united states about his worries about the peoples of the world waking up politically. That's why the spying is pervasive [VIDEO] Testing theories of representative government [LINK] "Intended as an internal document. >I still have a right and desire for privacy Not going to happen, even if you wanted privacy the all states (Aka rich and corporations) fears the population of the globe becoming political. [VIDEO]
It's total class war of the rich vs the rest, sorry to tell ya. Hear it from Zbigniew brezinksi, former national security advisor of the united states. [VIDEO]
You don't understand what is happening, the elites are at war with all citizens of their respective states because they fear the free flow of information through their society. That is why are collecting everything. Go view the privacy video and skip to 1:02:30 and watch. So hear it from national security advisor of the united states. If you are the non fraction of the 1% you are the enemy, aka spying is aimed at politically controlling your perception because they know your brain doesn't see the world as it is. That's kind of the point, the upper class is at war with the masses, hear it in their own words: Zbigniew Brezinski, former national security advisor of the United states: [VIDEO] "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. >The Internet cannot remain free Uhh have you not been paying attention for the last 20 years? We went from ownign our software and devices to not owning them as the tech illiterate masses got internet and smartphones. Google apps, app stores, steam, mmo's... those are all NOT FREE internet. They are not there for your benefit when you have to login and your software is controlled by a remote party, you are monitored and controlled. People in the west seem blind to the fact that they are basically corporate slaves, when a cursory examination of the facts is that they are amongst the most enslaved indoctrinated people in history. The US is a lawless empire and has been it's founding, if you don't think western governments aren't interested in clamping down on the internet further, just view this by former national security advisor of the United states, Zbigniew Brezinski: [VIDEO]
