A two-minute Microsoft ad for Internet Explorer 10 in which a karaoke-style song addresses people who hate the browser. It is part of the "browser you loved to hate" campaign.
Cited in threads about IE's reputation as an example of Microsoft's self-aware, funny advertising.

Direct link to video for others who don't read TechCrunch: [VIDEO] I don't hate IE, but for me to consider start using it, it would need to run on all major platforms and be open ala Chrome and Firefox. Otherwise, I don't see the point.
I thought this was "hip" or whatever you want to call it, and pretty clever for a long term hearts-and-minds strategy -- [VIDEO]
Some WP ads were great. "Really?" was simple and to the point: [LINK] Internet Explorer karaoke wasn't bad: [VIDEO]
Their newest ads are pretty awesome. Surface's dancing ad [LINK] , the IE9 dubstep [LINK] , the IE10 troll [VIDEO] , and the various Windows 8 international musical ads (the wave after the countdown ad) [LINK] [LINK] and [LINK] are definitely a step way up from previous ad campaigns that Microsoft launched. All in all, the Windows 8 ads are IMO fresh, and definitely leaning more towards the younger adult hip side. And they're pulling it off pretty nicely.
A few days ago, a Microsoft employee who has worked on Windows 7 and 8 said on a Reddit AMA: "There is no doubt that we have catching up to do. We even do funny ads acknowledging how bad we were: [VIDEO] " They still know they're not perfect but they seem to think they're good enough already. I hope one day they learn to do things right.
That comment reminded me of the Microsoft ad video targeted at web devs. [VIDEO] Interesting and funny video, regardless of if you think anything changed.
