Footage of a protest at the University of Toronto against a talk by Warren Farrell on men's issues, including protesters blocking attendees from entering. It is part of a series of videos on similar campus protests.
HN cites it as an example of protesters physically obstructing a talk, mostly in arguments about campus free speech.

Sometimes feminism, as practiced by those who call themselves feminists, is the advocation of social and political equality regarding areas where women are disadvantaged, ignoring and even opposing those areas where men are disadvantaged. Source: here's[0] the best example I've seen, skip to minute two to see a man get physically prevented from entering a talk about some men's issues. You can also watch the actual event[1] and decide for yourself if it was or was not misogynist. You can also read about Warren Farrell, the speaker, and decide for yourself if he is for or against rape. I am a feminist by your definition, but I am also concerned with, e.g., statistically more men seem to commit suicide and thought that talk was interesting, so those feminists in the video might say I was a rape apologist. >I guess that's true if you consider being for legalized sex work the exact same as being against legalized sex work Why are you being so blatantly dishonest? She is not for legalized sex work, she is for making purchasing sex a crime. That is not legalizing sex work, it is simply not making the prostitutes side criminal. >"She views prostitution as violence against women and favors laws like those in Sweden, where the sale of sexual services is legal" And being a customer is a crime. That is not legal. Again, why such incredibly dishonesty? >If you interpret viewing prostitution as violence the same as viewing sex between consensual adults as violence Prostitution is sex between consenting adults. >In what ways do organizations like NOW actively fight against equality Actively campaigning against laws that would make joint custody the default? >scream hate at men for daring to want to talk about men's issues? You've seriously never seen the UofT videos? [VIDEO]
Richard Stallman is fucking scum[0]and a rape apologist and if you defend him, so are you. So watch what you say, Hackernews, lest people come forward with reports of crimes you committed. [0] [VIDEO]
