Wow! Good to see that that is what you had in mind!!! I count such statements as personality characteristics, unpolished, maybe gauche behavior, not welcome in country club society unless are worth > $5 billion! I'm really sensitive to lying, but such statements don't even start to raise my fur. Gee, I was worried that you'd found some actual lies, e.g., like we have heard nearly daily (I won't say hourly) from the FBI about Page, Flynn, and Manafort and from Pelosi and Schiff about Trump. For the mainstream media, I gave up on them after the gang up, pile, party talking point collection in [VIDEO] That is from 1-2 years ago and fun to watch now. For what the next few weeks holds, I'm finding some interesting reading in [LINK] with In the Supreme Court of the United States STATE OF TEXAS, Plaintiff, v. COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, STATE OF GEORGIA, STATE OF MICHIGAN, AND STATE OF WISCONSIN, Defendants. On Motion for Leave to File Bill of Complaint BRIEF OF STATE OF MISSOURI AND 16 OTHER STATES AS AMICI CURIAE IN SUPPORT OF PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE BILL OF COMPLAINT with Article II requires that each State “shall appoint” its Presidential electors “in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct.” U.S. CONST. art. II, § 1, cl. 4 (emphasis added); see also id. art. I, § 4, cl. 2 (providing that, in each State, the “Legislature thereof” shall establish “[t]he Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives”). Wow! I'd missed that

On > "Nobody loves the Bible more than I do" okay at [LINK] is "You know, when you hold up a Bible, and nobody loves the Bible more than I do, when you hold up a Bible, you don't then put it down and go around lying and doing a lot of things that are wrong," Trump scolded Cruz. So, the source is not the best, but, still, the quote seems accurate. Sorry, I don't call that a lie. It's not even as bad as "This car was driven by a little old lady only to church on Sundays." The usual startup seed round pitch deck predictions are worse than the bible quote. If you want to find an actual lie, maybe you can. I'm surprised the media apparently has not tried. One place to start is what he has said about spending money to rebuild the US military. IIRC he has mentioned some $trillions. I'd like to see the INCREASES over what the DoD has been getting right along, and those might not be $trillions. I.e., a significant fraction of the DoD budget, maybe his $trillions, went for just on-going, routine expenses and not rebuilding. Even if I'm correct here, I still don't call that a 100% lie -- it's more like bending some definitions in budgeting and accounting. But, again, much of the mainstream media seems eager to find Trump lies, so if Trump was wrong here the media should have gotten some headlines about it. > The idea that Trump hasn't told a single lie in 5 years is so comically false that one doesn't even know where to begin. I'm still willing to hear, wanting to hear, waiting to hear

You are attacking me personally and contributing nothing rational about the issues. So, you look like a troll. There was E. Bernays and his idea of a narrative as the basis of a propaganda campaign. Well, the mainstream media (MSM), e.g., ABC, AP, Boston Globe, CBS, CNN, LAT, MSNBC, NBC, NYT, Reuters, The Atlantic, WaPo, WSJ, seem to have signed up to push the Bernays narrative. In a few words, the narrative is "Orange Man Bad". No meaningful data, no reasonable rationality, just an attack. Next there is the Nazi Minister of Propaganda Dr. Josef Goebbels with his "If you tell a lie often enough, then people will believe it. Eventually even you will come to believe it." So, the second part of the propaganda effort is to repeat the narrative lies over and over. Eventually a lot of people come to believe, or come to believe that others believe so that there must be something to it or that they must at least fit in. Here is an example of the media pushing the narrative with repeating lies: [VIDEO] I hope that right away you saw that you were watching propaganda and refused to watch again. The MSM is desperate and about to go out of business. Apparently they sold out cheap. Some people stand to get big money and power if Biden will actually do all he has proposed, e.g., sending US companies and jobs out of the country and bringing cheap products and labor into the country. Really the people to get the benefits from Biden are under 1% of the population -- essentially everyone else

I think one of my favorite cases of bullshit was the 2 years spent investigating Trump for Russian collusion, and nothing happened despite "Anonymous sources say..." stories every week in the New York Times. The hilarious thing about watching this is is the seemingly coordinated narrative everywhere with everyone using the same phrase like they all are just repeating "the truth" from some central source where they write the teleprompter scripts. "The walls are closing in" [VIDEO] That's what the bullshit is. The almost identical media headlines and catch phrases everywhere. The 100s of identical bot tweets. Now I just read Telegram channels and I see the enormous anti-lockdown protests taking place worldwide. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people in France right now protesting vaccine passports across the country and nobody has heard about it because of a hermetically sealed mainstream media blackout. I come to Hacker News when I want to see what the propagandized classes who read whatever "news" app came with their phone are believing. Everyone here is pretty smart, you're just in Plato's cave looking at the shadows on the walls. The bottom line is, if you see that all your news sources are repeating each other, it may be time to diversify your news sources.

It was two years of incessant media coverage, fully including open discussion of whether or not Trump or his family members would be indicted. If you expected anything less, you were not consuming mainstream media [1]. [1] [VIDEO]

The same people who were behind the four years of Trump/Russia investigations that yielded nothing. My favorite montage of videos from that time: [VIDEO]

> (faster if Trump gets another term). I didn't keep track and don't have a good list, but a guess is that Trump did push through a lot of regulatory changes. If the media would publish a well documented list ...!! From all I've seen, I like Trump, but apparently a lot of people don't. I wonder where am I going wrong. Why do some people not like him? A guess is the now old collection of video clips from the MSM (mainstream media) still at [VIDEO] Sooo, recently I watched several videos (still at YouTube) of episodes of Trump's old TV show The Apprentice . (1) From the business world I've seen, this guy was definitely, uh, different ! In a way, tough to criticize since apparently he was very successful. (2) A surprise was the propensity of mess ups, in fighting of the apparently carefully selected candidates. When I think back, yup, I did see a lot of that but guessed it was incidental and would go away and wasn't too bad -- I was wrong, and Trump's TV show was closer to right. How Trump handled (2) was good to see, although maybe some of it was just "TV".

> Are you being sarcastic? Did you miss the part where he waged an attempted coup against the US government to remain in power? I never understood that: I watched his speech. All I saw looked reasonable, appropriate, prudent. It seemed he was careful to advise no violence. That there was an "attempted coup" makes no sense to me. I watched his speech and saw nothing wrong. > I mean... he was just found by a court to have committed rape. I didn't and don't see that. But, if what you say is correct, then that would explain why some people don't like him. From your post, it looks like there is some deep bitterness about Trump. I don't see why, but okay. For one explanation there is that old collection of media video clips [VIDEO] Apparently the media was totally convinced that those clips would doom Trump; maybe those clips are why some people don't like him. Watch the clips -- if anything, by now they are entertaining! They have much of the largest of the MSM (mainstream media) doing a big gang up, pile on of "bombshell", "done, no question about that", etc. that never happened. Maybe in low level town and city politics nearly everyone interested in politics at all has some really strong reasons to like the Democrat Party. If my startup works, maybe I'll discover that the local Democrats will do good things for me but the Republicans won't. Hmm.

Right. In the US, on politics and the issues, getting the information and "evidence" is a really big problem. I have and/or have seen good evidence for all that I mentioned, but such evidence is NOT wanted by or common in the media which means that I have no well written, comprehensive, single reference to give. Uh, YOU try: Write a document with good evidence, details, quotes, video clips, etc., and see how much interest the US MSM (mainstream media) has in publishing it!!! I predict you will regard your effort, no matter how carefully done, as a waste of time. E.g., so far I've never seen even one credible graph over, say, the last 16 years, of, say, the US CPI (consumer price index). Same for budget deficits, spending bills, balance of foreign exchange, Fed loans, spending on the war in Ukraine (was there actually ANY spending or did we, instead, actually just ship war supplies produced in the US?) -- the actual details are absurdly messy, sloppy, missing, etc. Clearly, bluntly the details do not SELL -- won't get a big audience. To give good evidence here would exceed by several times the 10,000 bytes or so limit that Hacker News seems to have on a single post. US media credibility? Here is evidence of biased, cooked up, gang up, pile on, organized mob attack from 2017: [VIDEO] With that example, there is less than zero credibility. So, for your "evidence", don't expect that from the US media. I wish, profoundly wish, have posted many times on social media, that the US ne
