The 1985 Channel 4 TV film 'Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future', the origin of the computer-generated TV host Max Headroom, with a soundtrack by Midge Ure and Chris Cross.
Recommended in Max Headroom threads as a surprisingly good, short original film.

If you have never seen the original 1985 British film that introduced "Max Headroom: 20 minutes into the future", you are in for a serious treat. It is so much better than I ever expected -- and it's only 55 min long. More relevant than ever: [VIDEO]
Not many people know: the original Max Headroom 'pilot' was a 1985 British cyberpunk movie, somewhat underground despite being shown on TV — "Max Headroom: 20 Minutes Into The Future" — not only does it explain the origin of the Max Headroom character, it's actually a great watch IMO :) Whole movie [VIDEO] Wikipedia info [LINK]
Totally agree. 20 Minutes introduced the "Operator, get me out of here!" trope that showed up later in The Matrix... [VIDEO]
