A Second Thought video arguing that the CIA is responsible for serious crimes, coups and unrest around the world, with historical examples and further reading.

HN commenters cite it as a source for US-backed coups and foreign policy contradictions, and as an example of a video they say YouTube suppressed.

The United States has admitted to perpetrating coups to get a us-friendly dictator in otherwise democratic societies: [VIDEO]

I don't have a link, but I've noticed that quite a few videos in the similar corner of topics need an "age check" (e.g. [VIDEO] , the creator of which was (according to them) visited by DHS for "anti-american sentiments" [1] ) [1] [LINK]

> The US doesn't have the moral high ground either. > The US started killed so many innocent people in the Middle East to get their hands on the oil. Thanks for writing your comment, i was thinking of writing something similar. > I find it amusing when an American judges the UAE. yeah i don't understand how Americans gloss over the myriad of contradictions, and just the overall violence, of US foreign policy i'd like to leave this important video here for anyone who hasn't yet seen it: The CIA is a Terrorist Organization // [VIDEO]

All of this is easy to say for someone living on the 'other side of Imperialism', as Vijay Prashad beautifully says: [LINK] I take issue with everything you've written. You somehow still believe the words you use are themselves evidence (and it's obvious they originate from western media firms who manufacture consent - it impacts you (unconsciously) even if you consider yourself very progressive/leftist). Who controls the world through financial imperialism? It isn't China. Seriously, please consider a few of these: [VIDEO] [LINK] [LINK]

Youtube instantly demonetized, put behind triple community warnings, and removed from search the video "The CIA is a Terrorist Organization" ( [VIDEO] ) which was sourced only from things the CIA / US Government have formally admitted on the record as having done in the past.

The same one that caused YouTube to try to bury the video titled "The CIA is a Terrorist Organization" < [VIDEO] > and a three letter agencies to visit the author to investigate "anti-american sentiment" < [LINK] >

i hear what you're saying but i've spent too much time in the Middle East to know that most reporting in the west is intentionally deeply Islamophobic; mostly to manufacture consent for imperialist wars that allow the global north propertied/capitalist class to plunder and dominate. [VIDEO] [LINK]

I am from latin america and at least neither China nor Russia have participated in coup d'etat to install a military junta to then torture and massacre anyone slightly left of the US "Democratic" Party. Source: [VIDEO]

@AinderS2022 · in “The Ex-CIA Agents Deciding Facebook’s Content Policy”

I can only imagine that this comment was written in total ignorance of the CIA's storied history. Suffice it to say that it is not a government agency like any other [1]. If "former" FSB agents held key positions controlling social media content in your country, that would likewise not be concerning, right? And regardless of just how scarlet the letter should be that "ex" CIA employees carry, it goes without saying any (social) media organization that wants to maintain even the thinnest pretense of neutrality and independence cannot give "ex" intelligence agents, of any country, editorial control.
