The first episode of the Yacht Rock web series, a comedic parody about the smooth soft-rock musicians of the late 1970s and early 80s. It is a short, scripted sketch set at Koko's Boat House.
HN commenters point the uninitiated to it as a beloved parody series, often in threads that mention yacht rock.

The line about yacht rock has me seriously considering applying. Also your stack and philosophy seem pretty cool. For the uninitiated, check out this smooth music: (spotify playlist): [LINK] (original video series): [VIDEO]
I won't spoil this in case it is a surprise, but if you are familiar with this genre of music and have a guess as to who is at the center of the graph, the most connected person in all of Yacht Rock, your guess is almost certain to be correct. Also don't miss this wonderful parody series: [VIDEO] If you previously saw the old low-definition videos, these are remastered HD versions, well worth a re-watch. Stay smooth, everyone.
I got into this industry as a side gig from science, I love solving problems. I am pretty ok at code, but code is a problem in the way of another problem. Sometimes it is easy to get distracted by a cute puzzle or a new game, but my purpose is to solve larger problems not play games (I didn't intend for this to be HN rhetorical combat). The people most against AI assistance are those that define themselves by what they do, have invested a lot into honing their craft and enjoy the execution of that craft. I have been getting paid to program for over 35 years, agentic coding is a fresh breeze. [VIDEO]
