A 2019 extended interview in which Connie Loizos talks with Sam Altman about his work, OpenAI's capped-profit structure, its mission toward safe artificial general intelligence, and criticisms the organization faces.
It is mostly cited critically or jokingly, as a source for Altman's early statements about AGI and investor promises that commenters later quote back at him.

Seems like OpenAI is grasping at straws trying to make GPT "go meta". Reminds me of this Sam Altman quote from 2019: "We have made a soft promise to investors that once we build this sort-of generally intelligent system, basically we will ask it to figure out a way to generate an investment return." [VIDEO]
Funnily I came across an interview from around 5 years ago where he straight up admitted that he had no clue how to generate a return on investment back then (see [VIDEO] ) "We have no current plans to make revenue." "We have no idea how we may one day generate revenue." "We have made a soft promise to investors that once we've built a general intelligence system, basically we will ask it to figure out a way to generate an investment return for you." The fact he has no clue how to generate revenue with an AGI without asking it, shows his lack of imagination.
OpenAI has no idea what is the cause of the problem, but once OpenAI has built a general intelligent system, they will ask it for a way to fix this bug. (for those who don't get the reference: [VIDEO] (31:26 - 32:13)).
