Official music video for Afroman's song Lemon Pound Cake, built from footage of a police raid on his home. It became a viral hit and was at the center of a lawsuit by the officers.
Cited as the example of turning raid footage into a hit music video, whenever the Afroman lawsuit comes up.

Every time Afroman gets mentioned in the headlines, his videos get a few more views from me. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Will You Help Me Repair My Door: [LINK] Lemon Pound Cake: [VIDEO]
The teen should make a music video of the footage to help raise funds for their legal defense, as Afroman did with hits like Lemon Pound Cake ( [VIDEO] ) and Will You Help Me Repair My Door ( [LINK] ). The right to record the police in public is well established now, and the claims the police are making (that technically Nathan Winter of the Newton Police Department is not a "convicted" domestic abuser, he's just an "accused" domestic abuser with a judge issuing a protective order against him) seem more likely to defame them than a brief caption in the teen's posted arrest video.
> The defiant rapper testified Tuesday and said that he exercised free speech when he released music videos featuring images of Ohio deputies raiding his home, saying any suffering they claimed in their lawsuit was due to “their mistake.” The deputies filed the civil lawsuit against Afroman in 2023, accusing him of defamation and invasion of privacy and saying they were needlessly harmed by music videos, most notably "Lemon Pound Cake," which included security camera footage taken in 2022, when they served a search warrant looking for drugs and evidence of a kidnapping at the performer's home. The lemon pound cake first features in the first video, "Will You Help Me Repair My Door" and seems to have become popular (a chubby sheriff deputy glancing at a lemon pound cake, gun in hand is a viral godsend!) so he made that second video about it [1] and it completely took off. I have watched videos outside the courthouse after the verdict and supporters were even handing free lemon pound cakes [2]. Has the apple pie got competition? [1] [VIDEO] [2] [LINK]
