Sabine Hossenfelder explains why she thinks faster-than-light travel may not be ruled out. She argues that the standard objections from special relativity are inconclusive.
Commenters recommend it for a compelling, accessible case against treating the speed of light as a hard limit.

Can we switch the link to [VIDEO] ? The blog doesn't really provide any additional information, and it obscures that you'll have to watch the video to hear her arguments (and I've gathered that many people are only here for text content & abstain from videos).
Warp drives and wormholes do not necessarily break the laws of physics. Sabine Hossenfelder does a good job explaining why the limits imposed by special relativity are not valid arguments: [VIDEO] As for a breakaway civilization, don't you think people would notice resources missing or the insane usage of resources by what would have to be a massive civilization be noticed? If you take the claims at face value, that these things operate as if inertia does not apply already "breaks physics". And if that is the case ET would make more sense than mole people. But it is also possible there is nothing to this at all. For me it's ET or a Psyop.
She does seem to have a pretty compelling argument that the speed of light may not be the maximum speed. It's not that crack pot. [VIDEO]
