A long George Hotz livestream in which he explores the coronavirus genome and molecular biology from scratch using a browser and Python, hacking on the science in real time.
HN suggests it for coders curious how an outsider approaches coronavirus biology, though it is described as unscientific.

George Hotz is also making a valiant attempt. Starting from scratch, he's made a surprising amount of progress in the last 3 days. Armed with just a web browser and python. [VIDEO]
Geohot has been doing a pretty unscientific but interesting look at the molecular & computational biology side of the coronavirus. Interesting for coders/hackers First in the series here: [VIDEO]
If you have many hours to spare, you can watch George Hotz dive into the details. One of the take-aways is that the Corona virus is a Sars, not a flu. [VIDEO] If your take is that Sars is just another flu, then I guess you just broadened the scope of the flu, and need to be open for the idea that the 'flu' could be more dangerous than you thought.
